After playing around anonymously on the site for way too long I have decided to say "Hey".   The piggy bank is full enough to start shopping for a craft to captian.   My dream is to become a terror to the fish of the NW!!  Both fresh water and the salt.  Thanks to all for the wonderful reviews of craft and equipment.  Hoping to see you on the water!!

Likewise! And don't let anyone influence your decision on what to buy. Buy what feels right to you... as long as it's a Hobie. :P

Thanks for the welcome!  One thing that I forgot to mention about myself is that I am known for making tasty homebrewed beer of various colors and flavors.  The homies (beers) usually come along with me on fishing trips.

Welcome and most excellent BugBoy!  Maybe you can have a tasting at the ORC?  :)

Welcome BugBoy. Cracks me up that you live in Portland and brew your own suds, with all the craft breweries around there. I'll bet you brew some wicked nasty suds!

Hobie outback!!  I am so happy with the way the boat feels and handles.  Spent yesterday afternoon playing around at Estacada Lake.  Went as far up the 'lake' as I felt comfortable, until I could see a few riffles in the water.  About a 5 mile round trip from McIver park boat ramp.  No fish!!!
