As a Hobie dude you'd expect it from me but seriously, I'm totally impressed with the trans system on the PA12. It works for pretty much any trans (except side imaging) everything is pre-drilled and solid. Then after gooping it's is a solid waterproof setup. Bravo Hobie.

BTW for those who hate the old Hobie seat always pulling out of alignment you'll be happy to know they've fixed it! The new seat setup on the 2012 line is money!

I see one of these in my future! Seriously!  Need to test drive one first but it looks to be a perfect platform for inshore salmon/sturgeon/etc  (even mellow ocean days).  Anyone want to buy a tandem Oasis? ;D

Cool! That is a big improvement, is there anyway to upgrade pre-2012 hobies to the 2012 seat setup?

Is it weird that I want the boat for that system and the chair-seat alone?   ;D

a retrofit kit for the seat would be great.  The new one looks much lighter than the old as well.

It might because there are plastic sleeves that fit in the old post holes so check the Hobie forums. If you don't see it make a post and the Hobie guru Matt Miller will have the answer.

No - it's definitely not weird, unless you're calling me weird.

Just watched the transducer install video. That is slick! Now if they only offered something like that on all the Hobies...
