A buddy of mine has just started looking for his first yak, figured I'd post here to help him out and see if anybody has anything for him.  He's not made of money so not looking for a $1k fully rigged type deal, he's looking in the $500 and under range (preferably far under, lol).  Lemme know if you've got something taking up space and I'll ping him with what you have.

Well, got a sit on top, Pelican Viper, I've done a lot of fishing with it but it's pretty basic, need about $135.00 for it, no accesories just the boat.  It's 9' and pretty stable.  I'll E-mail pictures or whatever and phone # if any interest.

ohbryant - thanks, I think he's going to look for something a bit bigger and/or with some storage.

In that price range (<$500) you should be able to find an older OK Scrambler in decent condition.

Here's some potential yaks currently on Seattle CL:

Check out Noah's last thread. He found a place up north with some phenomenal deals on brand new Hobies right now.
