Anyone fish the Willapa

Wondering what this area is like?

Hello... I lived in Westport WA. all of my youth and most of my 20's. So I know both Grays Harbor and Willapa Harbor. I use to surf sail my Hobie 14 and 16 at Lead Betters Point off of Long Beach which is at the mouth of Willapa Bay. What some people do not know is that one of the largest Great White Sharks was caught in a gill net there... 21 ft long and estimated at 5200 pounds. You can see pictures of it at the Tokeland historic Motel. As a kids I fished for Salmon in this bay with Ghost Shrimp and Herring. Amazing fishing there. Also a lot of oyster beds in this bay so watch out for them during low tide. Also there is Long Island in this bay with its 1000 year old Cedar Forest and rare salamanders. Great place to camp and the only way to get to the Island is via boat/kayak.
