An interesting point to ponder.  I'm wondering though, if you really need to go, and try to make it to the beach, is it better to be paddling like a madman or peddling like crazy?  I think peddling just might allow nature to take its course.

HMMMMMM, what if it's a floater?

I remember reading something on our sister site a few years ago, and one of the guys posting, said something like" if you ever see me hanging off the side while we're out and offshore, i'm ok i'm just taking a dump." so i guess it's not all that uncommon.

I don't think I could pull that off thru a relief zipper and I'm not sure I want to take off my immersion wear anywhere north of 45 deg lat.

I don't remember ever seeing that "feature" in the Hobie information pamphlet.

As i recall and failed to mention, he had said he was wearing a two peice wet suit.

Guess he hops over the side pulls em down to his knees etc.

But omg thats stilll T.M.I.

and it's not so easy to "unclench" in the water, particular if its cold.

That's assuming you don't pass "floaters"....brings to mind the time my 2 year old was in the tub and let loose a real torpedo!!  I called the wife  in to see it, she was NOt amused.
