It should of been a good day, Nice Sunny,Day OFF work, Wife's OK to go Fishing, Should of known it was Too good, So Tried to go out Winchester Bay, Missed the incoming morning Tide , Wind started Early too,( They Don't Call it Windy Bay For Nothing) Almost lost My Anchor..Didn't get a Singel Bite, Paddled my Ass off and didn't get very far.. But a nice day still..Went in loaded up got home and My wife ask.. WHERE's Your Wedding Ring?? Oh Crap I had it this Morning when I launched and Hell if its Not in the jeep,( I HOPE ) Need to clean it out. But to say the Least There may Be Gold in the Umpqua River, AND my Wife's NOT happy .. I'm on Kayak restriction till I find it or REPLACE it..the Ring not the Wife, BUT at the price of Gold ,replacing the wife might be easier..

Might be cheaper in the long run too.....
    Not sure about Oregon's laws

    Washington----it'll cost about the same.

     Good luck either way.......
Life is short---live it tall.

Be kinder than necessary--- everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

She has no wrath to vent. Nor does she have a hand in kindness to extend.
She is merely there, immense, powerful, and indifferent

I can relate...twice.  I lost the first somewhere on the Umatilla NWR setting out duck decoys.  The other was lost during a kayak fishing excursion.  It is amazing how the ring finger shrinks in cold water.

No.  I didn't notice I even lost the first for more than 2 weeks.  My wife noticed it while I was with her in the ultrasound room getting the first pictures of my oldest.  I guess even old bears and other animals don't notice the tracking tag after they have had it on awhile.

The second one went missing in Sheppard Lake, ID.  I traced the loss to sometime around this picture (2008) of me taking my youngest boy out in the pirogue.

In the pictures we had before it, you could see the ring.  I think it got lost when I swam out after my nephew.  He was 2 at the time and had fallen in the water with a life jacket on.  He was flailing about and kept going further out.  I went to Walmart and bought a mask and fins and free dove the area the next day, but couldn't find it.

Bummer man  :-[ sorry to hear that.

I haven't worn my wedding ring since about a week after our wedding. That was three years ago. I told her it was uncomfortable, so we just keep it in the jewlery box. Otherwise I would have lost it long ago. maybe you could try out my program. It's a lot easier!

Come on, man! Doesn't the agency have some spare tracking bugs you can borrow?

I lost my wedding ring snorkeling in the Carrib on my Honeymoon. Amazingly I dove back down and found it. Twenty five years later I got a new one that's a better fit.

I have a stainless band for that exact reason.  So far it has fallen off twice while fishing and I have found it both times.  When I eventually loose it I can get a new one for less than $10.

The only way my ring is coming off my finger is if I lose my finger first.
My knuckle is just too big for it to slip over even chilled in ice water and lubed with soap.

That is why I keep mine on my key ring. Many years ago, I reached my hand back between two steel plates on a machine (shut down for maintenance) and my ring got wedged in at full arm extension. Since I weighed 145# when I got married, my ring no longer just slid off my finger. After several minutes, I was able to free it, but from that time my ring resides on my key ring - just where my high school shop teacher told me rings should be kept.
