Paddle for my PA

So the stock paddle that comes with the PA is heavy and inefficient.  I want to replace it with a paddle that is longer and has a bit more "umph" in it, and is light.  The only time I use the paddle now is for working out on the water or playing in the surf.  I want something that will give me more get up and go with fewer paddle strokes to accelerate over or punch through waves as well as give better bracing for coming back in.  I also use my paddle for self rescue, so it has to be strong.

Yeah, the PA is huge and is a pain to paddle just by design, but there has to be something out there that can make the job a bit easier and fit my needs.

Suggestions?

Yeah, I'm not to impressed with the stock paddles. I've decided to go with a Bell bike handle grim and an older Estuary half-paddle to strap on the side of my Revo. Mucho better. I ordered the T handle that Hobie sells and I wish I'd thought of the bike handle sooner. It would have saved me a few bucks.

I have traditionally used the bending branches 240. I have the wingspan of a condor tho

Don't try to surf launch with that paddle.  Ask Oly how that works out.

I use the bending branches whisper 240 for my inflatable. It's wide, has a good surface area on the paddle, and it's cheap and durable.

Tried the T-Handle paddle in the surf....not enough paddle, not enough length, and is just not suited for bracing quickly from one side to the other.  Some smaller peeps might have luck, but did not work well at all for me.

I had a Bending Branches Slice with my OK Trident 13. I see it has been re-badged as the Angler Classic. I'll be needing a paddle for the new Raptor, and Jim Martin suggests a 230.
