OK, this is nothing like you heroes getting out into the Pacific, but I did catch my first fish out of the Raptor yesterday -- a small bass at Hyatt Lake. Not much glory in it, but I'll take it. My wife took her sit-inside Raptor for its maiden voyage as well, and she loved her boat. Would have stayed and fished longer but the smoke from forest fires in Lake County and in Northern California was really grim at 4,000 feet, so we came home early.
