I'm going to drop a couple crab pots tomorrow before work out in Samish Bay.  Looks like the only public access is at Larrabbe State Park.  Any tips on where to drop the pots?  I have one pot with about 50' of line and another with about 100'.  Based on the Deepzoom charts I was initially thinking of dropping one about 1/4 mile due south of the boat launch and the other about 1/4-1/2 mile south-west of the first pot.

If anyone has a better suggestion on where to drop the pots, or info on alternate access points, I'm all ears.

Larrabee's a good option

Dropped the first pot about where I said I wanted to.  Saw no pots to the SW, but did see a bunch to the NW, I headed out there and dropped the second pot just north of the area straight out from the boat launch, maybe .4 miles out.  We'll see what the results are tonight.

Only 3 keepers.  Had a huge starfish hanging onto one pot.  Only 4 little ones in the pot.  Oh well.

3 keepers is crab in the belly! Wait until you get a pot full of big starfish.... That's always fun...

I think my 6 year old ate a full Dungie.  He could have kept going if there was more abailable.  I eaaily could eaten another half to full crab.  SWMBO and the 8 year old got enough though.  If not for the starfish we'd have had plenty.
