I just cured some using an off the shelf product called Pro Cure.  It comes in colorless and dyed varieties.  These are smaller king eggs in their skein.  you shake the powder over the eggs and let them sit several hours or overnight.  Pour off any liquid and let them air dry on a drying rack.  I put them in a ziplock bag filled with Borax and freeze until fall river fishing.  They firm up nice and the skein helps them stay on the hook.

Salmon University might have some other treatments on their site.

I used Patkski (sp) cure and borax... 1 TBS to 1 cup and put the eggs in and let them stay in the bag for a few days... I keep shaking them up every couple of hours to start with.  I then take them out and freeze them too. I cut the skeins "open"so they will be more exposed to the cure and borax and then usually cut them in 1/2 or 1/3 to make them easier to deal with then I am ready to use them... less trimming at that point.  I would love to use procure on my next go around.  I just couldn't bring myself to pay the extra $4. :)
