They have brought back the U-da-man salmon tournament at Newport this year which is a fundraiser for the Yaquina River fishery. I had thought of entering but can't due to a family event the same day. Still hoping to fish the Yaquina this year because it is close for me. I just thought I would put this up because I think it would be cool if it were won by a kayaker. There are cash prizes for the three biggest Chinook  plus a coho pot as well.

With all the talent here and all the newbies now educated in the ways of estuary salmon fishing, someone here should enter.
