There have probably already been threads about this, but have just been acquainted with the practice.

I don't get this whole "kiss and release" thing.  I fish primarily to provide myself with healthy food that has never been in a cage.  Of course I do enjoy it too.

I am not under the impression that the fish enjoy it as much as I do, so I think catch and release is a cruel game.

Then add sexual assault to the list...  I am sure that the fish really enjoys that.

There is a frightening correlation to the movie Fire in the Sky.

I know, probing goes a step further than kissing, but it's a slippery slope...
I would much rather be up a creek without a paddle than down one.

Is this some strange activity you saw over by that fountain in NOPO? Maybe the people on your side of town were trying to become one with the fish? ???

I don't see what the problem is.  My high school friend does it all the time.

I have always been of the belief that you kiss the fish you catch, but cannot retain legally, so you give it a kiss, let it go with the hope you havent ruined its relations with a fishermans bait.
BTW: that pic of the carp is a little too far (almost gives new meaning to "fish porn")  :o
I have never heard of Rule #34- where might i find this list of things?

Gross.  Carp are nasty.  I was not expecting to see that.

No means no!

And I would like to support the idea for catch and release practices. I am concerned with overfishing in many waters and depletion of many species, especially our beautiful salmon and steelhead. I release 90% of the fish I catch and most of them are in very good condition when returned to water.  In my belief, catch and release fits perfectly the some of  the kayak fishing philosophy as a quiet, clean and environment-friendly recreation.
Let them spawn - catch and release.
