Adding storm water runoff to a sewage treatment system increases the wastewater influent flows many times over (millions of gallons per day). No wonder the system gets inundated. I wonder how much this consistent pollution stream contributes to nutrient overloading, dead zones & the drastically reduced smelt runs?
