Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
If you haven't already, check out Fisherman's latest sale catalog, there are some good items on sale for their Black Friday and 3 day sale.
They have these folding crab traps on sale for 11 bucks.
I've never set crap pots before but I'd like start next year. Anybody know anything about how well those pots work for use out of a kayak and if they're a good deal?
Thanks!

Paul

Those crab pots work great.  Those are what we drop at PC when we head out fishing.  If their leaded crab pot rope is on sale, grab some of that too.

That's a really sweet deal. I used these a lot this year and had great success. I know a lot of guys here did great with these as well. Good buy for $11

Don't overlook Bi-mart.  Same pots on sale for  9 bucks and change.  Plus a decent selection of rods and reels/gear at great prices for starter gear.

Even better, bimart is a few minutes from my house. Thanks PP.

I have 4 of these and 2 round pots that I use out of Crescent City.. These work better than the round ones. My wife tells me to not bring any more crab home. I just make more friends.

These are the perfect size for kayak crabbing and they don't get much cheaper than $11.

Slept till 8:30 this morning. Woke up, made my coffee, got to bimart by 9:00. In and out in 5 minutes with 2 of these crab pots at 9 bucks a pop. The people out there were crazy. Screw Black Friday shopping. These pots look pretty sweet. Can't wait to try them out.

Nice score. They were sold out at my local Bi-mart. Will try another location tomorrow after a couple hours of C&R sturgeon fishing.

I scored two crab pots here at the Redmond Store. $9.98 a piece. They have boxes of them here. Anybody want me to pick up some? My shipping fees to Portland are the lowest yet. Free.

I also picked up some high end poles and reels for less than $20. I bought the combos that were already marked down 50 to 60 percent and took another 30 percent off of that.  I know, I need as many as I can get, Rod mortality rate in my Yak is high.

Dang that sounds like a good deal on those setups Wobbler!  Smart plan to have some in the garage stockroom just in case you flip (or in my case some jackass breaks into your car...)
