Hello all..Robert Olson here. New to the site.  I am getting started in kayak
fishing and am in the process of rigging a REVO 13. It's great to see all the activity
and advise that everyone contributes. It certainly is helpful to me. I currently
live in Sequim, WA but am from Hawaii where I was into blue water power boat
fishing. Rigging the kayak presents alot of unique challanges and I have been
getting alot of great ideas from everyone on this site and I look forward to meeting
you folks in the future.

Welcome Robert!

I pedal a Revo myself sometimes - it is a great boat. I know there are a couple of guys in our group up your way, so you should be able to scare up some company sometime.

Welcome Robert -- you're going to love that Revo. It's the perfect platform for being hauled around by big halibut.  And you're lucky to have so many generous souls in your vicinity to help you learn. Great guys on this forum -- a rare online community in that.

    Welcome Robert,
Get your Revo rigged up soon.
The Seattle Times just posted the Northwest Salmon Derby scheduale for 2013.On February 16-18 they have a salmon dreby in your area, the Olympic Peninsula Salmon Derby.
Several NWKA folks talked about fishing it this year--not sure if anyone made it happen or not ??? I was out of town in Alaska working .Hope to make it this next year.

That could be a nice way to get a bloody deck....
Life is short---live it tall.

Be kinder than necessary--- everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

Sailors may be struck down at any time, in calm or in storm, but the sea does not do it for hate or spite.
She has no wrath to vent. Nor does she have a hand in kindness to extend.
She is merely there, immense, powerful, and indifferent
