I would much rather be up a creek without a paddle than down one.

That is all.
That is too much of a tease. :P Were you out in the salt yesterday?

Noah, I thought you were going to be sick today... I tried as hard as I could to get "sick" but I just couldn't leave with some of the things going on at work today.
My wife thinks fishing is merely guys wandering around like idiots swinging sticks in the air. Many of my trips prove how smart she really is.

Me too. I weighed fishing versus getting fired and decided it wasn't worth it. Even when I'm actually sick everyone at work assumes I'm out fishing.

I'd call in sick but it's too cold over here to fish anyways. :(

Was thinking about hitting hell's canyon tomorrow but the high temp will only be in the 20's (maybe).

I love Kayak fishing too!
When i am sick and call in to work, when i come back everyone always asks me how the fishing was.
Its too cold to Kayak fish here in Central washington.  I am seriously considering Ice Fishing this weekend at Fish lake near lake Wenatchee.

I have to say that yesterday was as close to perfection as one can get in the middle of January. A 3 - 5 kt winds from the south negated the current from the north. The Sun was shinning and the fish were biting.

I lost count of how many fish I caught. Large cabbies were the the fish of the day. We caught several in the 20- to 25 inch range. I ended up with two lings one 24" and the other 27 3/4". A large rockfish rounded out my take for the day. The cleaning table was covered with fish at the end of the day.

This was my first surf launch and it went without a hitch. A hearty thanks goes out to Craig, Sinker and Rawkfish for their patience and advice. With this group I am going to need a case of scotch to hand out pretty soon.

I kept with my M.O. and forgot a camera. So, no pictures from my end. Craig took several. He may decide to post a few later on today.
