Hi everyone !

I have been stopping by & reading from this forum for weeks now and finding wonderful information.
I had to take the plunge and register.  I've been kayak fishing for 5 years now in the Tampa Bay area and just moved moved to WA. I vacationed here every summer to visit my Pops and was always hyped to go out and fishing your waters with him.  Always saw myself moving here someday because of the fishing & outdoor activities and here I am.
Excited about learning more and getting out on the water with fellow kayak fans.

Welcome to the beautiful NW.  Saw your post about the lightweight yak as well.  I think my outback only weighs 68 lbs.  But Romanian Redneck is right about the Wheeleze cart, they are awesome for rolling your yak from the vehicle to the water fully loaded with gear.  The cart makes it a piece of cake.

I found a good web site that has some good ideas on dyi kayak carts and various other projects. I made the the PVC cart that they show and it works perfectly. The cost of all the materials ran me about 25 bucks. So if you are not afraid of getting your hands dirty give it a try.  Here is the link hopefully it works http://palmettokayakfishing.blogspot.com/2011/04/diy-bulletproof-kayak-cart-build.html?m=1

Thanks for the welcome.   Yup,  I see how a cart may be a must have accessory.  Really looking forward to future kayak fishing events.  I watched a video of Kayakers going out of Depot Bay and I am totally hyped.

I'm pretty sure whoever you saw in the vid have read your posts. You'll get an invite to go out as soon as you're geared up. Put down July 13 on your calendar for the Oregon Rockfish Classic (ORC).
