Those are some interesting choices...

Whalen Island and Netarts would be good for crabbing but not so much for fishing right now.
PC would be good for both but the depth might make hand lining a challenge.

Might I suggest the jetties at Tillamook Bay or Newport?  Lots of rockfish, greenlings and lings to be had around high tide and crabbing can be good in the bays.

If you're really looking to fish and don't care about crab, head to Depoe Bay.  Lots of fish available, even in the shallower areas.

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.  --Mark Twain

Several people going to Depoe Bay tomorrow.  I am taking my father in law.  His first trip on the salt, too.  We have to head back to PDX at about noon so it will be a short day.

I am leaving PDX at 6 am.  Get there when we get there and launch ASAP.   Usually most people get there around 7:30 or 8:00.
