I was going to target lings in the Cribs yesterday but all the boat traffic made crossing the bay seem a little sketchy. Decided to fish around some pilings and I got into a bunch of perch. Caught some decent blacks, a small cabbie and a nice greenling that I ended up losing on my way out of the water heading home. That thing would have been nice for my AOTY score...which is currently zero!! Haha. When power boaters saw me catching fish...suddenly I didn't have the hole to myself. I still managed to put more fish in the boat than the three boats sharing my spot.  ;D

Yeah the biggest one was 14 inches. I caught one that was almost 15 inches a couple weeks ago. The pictures did not impress the AOTY judges haha. Hopefully this one will put me on the board.

Coos bay, right in Charleston. It was a lot of fun. I'd love to see more kayaks in the water here. Hopefully the increased presence of kayaks in the water would make power boaters more mindful of us pedal/paddlers. Just like bicyclist need drivers to pay more attention!

Those are some nice surfies, Chris!

I am excited to get down there in a couple months when the weather gets nicer to fish with you.

I fish that area quite a bit & was planning on being there this last weekend, but we had a death in the family. Been a tough couple days.
