My 15 yr old Garmin 12XL finally bit the dust this winter (It was a AA battery eating monster anyhow). So, I'm in the market for a GPS unit that will work great for kayak fishing, but it will also have to serve dual duty for hiking.

I'd like to hear which GPS units are the most popular or favored among the members here?

Rawk, do you prefer a separate GPS or have both. Which ff do you use?

I use a Eagle Cuda 300 for my sounder and I greatly prefer using a separate GPS and sounder over an integrated unit.

+1, already have a Garmin depthfinder, and like to be able to use the handheld GPS off the water.
