Good little boat, add turbo fins and it is a fast and good fishing boat. Art

I'm rocking an 09 sport and its a great boat but I am upgrading to an outback as soon as I have the room. The sport will go to my wife.

They do look pretty sweet but they strike me as way too small. Hobie claims the sport has a weight limit of 225 lbs. For those of you who own a sport, do you find it difficult to stay within weight capacity between yourself and your gear?

Are there any issues with the '09 models? Thin rear scupper walls, bad mirage drive?  Just want to know if I am to buy this one.  Thanks!

I haven't peddled one but they seem like leg room would be an issue if you're around 6 feet or over. Art rocked his at ORC into second place. His seemed stable and but I would think it would be best suited for people in the 170-180 lbs or less range.

My dad's wife has one and they love it for her size. They're great for smaller peeps. With turbo fins and sailing rudder it rides like Yamaha YZ 80. ;)

My interest was sparked until the weight capacity was pointed out.    :(
I used to think that Bigfoot might exist. Then I saw the reality shows where they are looking for them.  Now I am certain they don't

I like the sport. My buddy who is nearly 200 pounds had no problem fishing out of one with me last summer. Its surprisingly fast too. And suuuper light!

im 6' and about 190lbs I haven't had any problems at all. I actually prefer its size to many others, the fact you can't Cary an enormous amount of gear does help in keeping weight to a min. I use it to fish for sturgeon on the Fraser River and appreciate the tight turning radius and stubby nose to keep on top of  big Dino's.

i have owned my 09 for about three years and have had no problems, I have been hard on it, hiking into lakes with steep descents and scooting down shallow streams.
