Hello Everyone,

I have a canoe that I use for my fishing. Old Town guide 11'9" solo seat. It has a seat with a back rest but I dint feel like I was one with the canoe. I see they sell foot braces and think that would lock me to it and not twist in my seat so much.
Has anyone done this and wish they have not done it?
Is one brand better than others?
Is it a easy install or is this something I should take to a shop?
If a shop I wonder what there shop rates are. I was see this taking too long to install but I may be wrong.

Thanks

I have a 15 foot Pirogue that I put Harmony foot braces in and I like it much better with them installed. http://www.outdoorplay.com/Kayak-Keepers-Footbrace-Kit?sc=7&category=133

Although, I put these in my 15 foot SOT and I prefer them.

Did you use the bolt on or the glue on style?
Do you think the glue on ones will work on my canoe?

Thanks for the help Craig!

I bolted them on above the waterline.  If your canoe is Kevlar or fiberglass, you should be able to use cloth and resin to glue them on. If plastic, I do not know of a way to glue them unless you were to do some plastic welding.
