I'm planning on heading down to Riffe Lake after some land locked silvers this coming weekend.  If anyone is interested, let me know!  Curious as to rigs that work for folks there too.  I've never fished it.

Check Washingtonlakes.com.  I think the most common method is slip bobber with gulp maggots 15 feet down or something like that if I remember correctly.

I might be interested it is fun catching a ton of silver's there this time of year.

My rig I use was a slip bobber setup and set it to 15-20 feet and used cured shrimp in boraxo cure type stuff. Gave off a huge scent trail and I got 30+ bites using the setup, also sprinners work. Chartreuse size 2 or 3 blue foxes

Yup, I'm in...fished there near from shore near the Dam several times and always limited out using shrimp under a slip-bobber 7-10 ft deep. Microwave the shrimp for 15-20 seconds to toughen them up a bit so they stay on the hook a bit better. Attached is a pic of my daughter with our catch back in Feb of this year

Where do you intend to put in?

I was thinking about leaving my house around 0700 with a launch around 0830-0900.  As far as where to launch, I have no idea since I've never been down there.  Nangusdog, any recommendations or have you only fished from land down there?  I'll look around to see where folks typically launch from.

There are launches on either side of the park, the eastern launch is IN the park.

East side is where the fishing bridge is and I was thinking about launching at 3 or 4.

Here are the launches:

Dude, Fishing Bridge is just what it's called (they used to stock the lake, but now you only catch pikeminnow or freshwater sculpin there).  The silvers are caught down by the dam.  You want to launch at 1 or 2.

Well shit, why didn't you say that before?  A guy at work here claims he catches silvers at the bridge. . again, I've never been there.

Anything is possible, but I have an ex-gf that would spend all day on that bridge with 50+ other idiots.  Out of 4 trips, the only thing that came out of the water were countless bullheads (freshwater sculpin) and 1 pikeminnow.

What she doesn't know won't hurt...it's certainly not the worst our microwave has seen...shhhh!

Yup, agree with Lee, the west end (near Dam) is where we want to fish. I've fished the bank on both sides and always caught fish. The boat launch at Mossy Rock park works great.
