Next HOW-PDX Event - Rainier Lakes 4/23

On Tuesday April 23rd we have been invited by the Oregon Fishing Club to use their well stocked private waters near Rainier, OR for some catch and release trout fishing. Will limit this event to about 5-6 vets and can use a few volunteers. Great cause, good fishing and fun times!

Five vets, including one 77 year old Korean War vet, two vet's spouses and five NWKA volunteers fished Rainier Lakes Tuesday. Great weather, fun times, just not many fish caught. Biggest was about 18" by our Korean War hero.

It was a great time - and the weather couldn't have been better!  Even not catching much, it was a very quiet, peaceful place to get out, away from everything, and enjoy the outdoors.

Again, thanks to the HOW Oregon organizers (especially for IHop for all of his hardwork) getting this all together.  The vets and spouses seemed to have a great time, and I know that I did.  Was also nice to meet Wobbler, OlySpec, and Sinker - great fishing with you guys!
