Don't drag your fish in any body of water where furbags live.  Look up catch cooler bags or fish bags made for kayak fishing.

Lots of guys on here use catch bags or kill bags to hold their fish. See pic below.

I've done a lot of dragging without incident.  You always want to be aware when you're out on the big blue though.

That said, fish quality is much better when you use a catch bag and some ice.

Wait for someone on here to decide they don't want theirs anymore.  Requires patience, and the willingness to get by without for sometimes quite a while, but you can get some great deals that way.

A burlap coffee sack and a few Gatorade bottles 3/4 of water then frozen. Very reasonably priced and easy to clean.

burlap coffee bean sack from your local roaster=free, and easy to keep fish cool by keeping in tank well and splashing water on it with your paddle, or dunking every once in awhile, cameron

I personally like the burlap sack idea.

I found these and thought they looked pretty slick, but cost about $100.

I use the fishclip with a burlap sack.  Love them for keeping fish and crabs cool and managed on the kayak!

If anybody needs any before an event, I usually have 5-10 of them with me at camp.  Happy to share.

Next Adventure sells them for around $40~$50 if you're passing through the Portland area or they do ship.  Give them a call.

Just curious ... does Precision Catch still make that model?  I know you can still get them as they are all over the net, but they don't have it listed on their site any more ... http://www.precision-pak.net/catalog.asp?catid=80717&subcatid=80460

And oh, I have one too!

That's a very good question.  I have no idea.
