Its not designed to fit Hobie seats. You have to do some custom mods but once its there it works sweet.  I'm sure rawkfish has a pic or two as he was the origin of this idea.

Fits the Revo good.

That would be awesome if someone could post up a 'how to'. I would like to put one of these on my Hobie seat. Thanks!

Here is the crack of dawn seat. I ran some zip ties through it to have it sit a little higher and I didn't trust the straps on a surf landing on their own.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I've done with these bags: Zipties.  Aside from zipties, the only thing I did to the bag to get it to work right is I punched two holes along the top edge of the bag with a red-hot nail so that I could run a ziptie through and fasten the top edge to those two little bungee loops along the top of the Hobie seat.

Thanks for the replies. So if I'm understanding this correctly the bag is attached to the seat by zipties on the existing Hobie seat bungie loops. Has this been strong enuf to support the occasional small/lightweight fishing rod n reel to be held in the bag's rod holders? Or maybe a gaff?

Most of the weight is distributed on the straps or buckles that come on the side of the rod holder bag.  You can either run the straps around the straps of the Hobie seat and through the webbing tighteners, or just use zipties to secure the webbing tighteners to the seat straps.  Then there's a strap on the bottom of the rod holder bag that I ran zipties through and fastened to the tab on the back of the seat where that piece of bungee that pulls the seat back upright is.  The holes I put at the top are mainly just for keeping the top of the rod holder bag lined up with the top of the seat, they don't really support any weight.  I don't really use it for rods, but it would totally work if needed.  I use it for my lip grippers and wood shampoo.
