Finally!!

I was really beginning to question my springer catching abilities.  Dam counts have been good and while fishing hasn't been hot, I have seen flurries here and there but none of them included me, till today.  7 trips in and I'm finally on the board!  Hopefully, now that the ice is broken there'll be many more to come this season.

With the water clear and not backing up, I decided to fish deeper slots than I usually do.  Marked lots of fish but only found the 1 biter.

Nice fish Mark! persistence pays off.  Seems unbeleivable when you go that many trips without a salmon, definately makes you question youir abilities, been there.

Only 7 trips.  Not to bad considering the way this year has been going.

Dinner last night was carcass trimmings seared in sesame oil with sea salt and coarse black pepper and grilled collar with a few drops of balsamic vinegar sprinkled with crushed garlic.  Mmmmmmm!!!!
