Congrats!! That's a great looking fish!! Even better sounding dinner!!

Quick question, what is that spinner you caught it on? Is it super secret, if so forget I asked, I'm just curious, being new at this I want to make sure I learn as much as I can! Thanks and great fish!!!

The spinner in that photo is a prototype that Joe from Hogg's Tackle asked me to try.  It thumps like a flasher but it's small enough that it doesn't create too much drag.  He was looking for feedback on how it would work plunking.  I've had a couple of missed hits on it but I think that's due to using a single BRB hook.  I don't like the thought of using barbless trebles but I'm either going to change out to that or a mooching type of double hook set-up in the future.

My standard spinner is a small Toman thumper.  I prefer the cascade blades as they let you troll really slowly.  That was actually a cool thing about the proto.  It spins with even the slightest hint of current.

Awesome!
haven't managed to fish near as much as I have hoped (babies will do that) and the one fish I have hooked into was swiped.
