Lingcod sexing

Anyone know how to sex a lingcod?  I'd like to know whether I've caught a male or female.  Online search turned up nothing, though I did find a length/weight/age charts for males and females:

Interestingly on the wikipedia article on Lingcod it says that

An adult male can be distinguished externally from a female by the presence of a small, conical papilla behind the anal vent.

Behind, in front heh I guess its not clear if they are talking about head to tail or tail to head but regardless of orientation it seem like the papilla is what you are looking for

I have heard theories ranging from the size of the fish being a determinant, to the sliminess of the fish.
This article talks about scientifically sexing a lingcod using the "Females and males mature at age 3-5 years (61-75 cm) and age 2 years (45 cm), respectively. Adult males can be distinguished externally from females by the presence of a small, conical papilla behind the anal vent. "

There are some more pictures of the papilla in this ifish thread.  Size, slimness, and papilla all seem to be pretty good indicators.

You can tell by looking at the bottom of the fish. Arou d the anus . There is a flap of skin. I believe the longer is the male and shorty is females.
