My only regret was not spending money on a Hobie sooner. :)

Mine leaks like a sieve ...I've had the drive fail twice on the water .... And I absolutely love it!

I still think OK makes the best ocean hull in the business but the mirage drive makes 15 plus mile days almost easy.

.... Unless you are in an Outback.

Starting to feel like the ugly step sister here. I absolutely love both my Outback AND my Revo. The question that comes to my mind is "Why didn't I get one much earlier?"

Love the Mirage drive boats but like fungunnin I loves me some Trident (or possibly Jackson Cuda, haven't paddled one...yet) hulls.  I hope once the Mirage drive patent expires we'll see some cool new hulls designed around it.

Rev, you won't regret it.

If you'd like to try one, Marie and I are heading out to Hobuck at noon tomorrow and will be there through Sunday.

I regretted so much I bought two.  The Pro Angler I refer to as my Ka-Yacht .  It's heavy, it's a bitch to pull across the sand for a beach launch but it's very stable and easy to pedal.  I can't imagine being on anything else.  It also makes a good mother ship for other people's halibut I've found.  :)

I wouldn't have rather spent my money on any thing else. But I will say that without the rudder and drive, the outback tracks like crap. Still love it.

I'm one cheap bastard and generally have buyers remorse with every major purchase. Not with my Revo :)

I think it is because I am a very competitive person and the guy that always wants one more cast or forgot one piece of gear. So generally I need to catch up to the group or be leading the charge to the perfect spot way off shore.
Either way ... Not being able to catch up and hang with the group is something that will frustrate me in short order.

I rather give up a little stability for speed. In some cases I think the extra speed may even be a safety issue.

I love my outback!  Just finished adding GearTracs and a Mark 4 Dsi unit.  I loved my OK Prowler too, but the outback is just the best fishing machine I have had.  No regrets at all.

I started with an OK T13 and after a couple of years added an Hobie Revo.  The T13 hull was far superior to the Revo - better plastic.  In rough weather I can feel the Revo flex much more than the T13.  However, if you want a mirage drive boat, which I did, you've only got one choice.

I certainly do not regret purchasing the Revo.
