Depoe Bay in general, and the ORC more specifically, is a traditional place for fisherfolk to lose their bottom fishing virginity. You will have plenty of company, and a whole passel of of people willing to "teach" you, although you may notice there a few guys here who go out bottom fishing a lot but really don't know anything about catching rockfish either.

FYI .... Be aware of the current at Depoe Bay. If you aren't ready for a long hard grind don't ever get down current from the entrance to the harbor.

You're welcome! I'm looking forward to seeing some big fish at the weigh in station this year. Could this be a year for a winning Cabbie? I've seen a few lately that are pushing 17-18#'s.

In the past it's always gone up around where the PayPal links are for the AOTY signups and hawg-trough purchase links are now.  Just check over there and it'll probably show in a day or three, depending on Allen's schedule.
