Time to order some swimbaits from Biggerhammer. I've been killing lings this year. Should change color and catch a cabbie for the win. Can one of the kegs be Oatmeal stout this year?

Speaking of a link to a pay-pal so we can get registered--will that be on this thread ? or on a separate thread specific to signing up ?

I'm sure Allen will get on this fairly soon. And  big thanks for "making it happen".
That's a good question. I have a feeling the Paypal button will most likely be on the front of the NWKA home page. When you guys sign up using the Paypal link, make sure to enter a note with your real name and NWKA screen name, so I know who you are. I will add your name to the list when I see your payment.
FYI..... The first 100 people that sign up will be receiving some pretty sweet captain bags, so please don't wait until last minute to sign up.. The GS7 just had 198 kayak anglers registered.
Stand by for paypal link....

It's on my list of things to do today, so expect a link by end of day.  Left column, towards the top, on all pages.

Good question....

All anglers must be 18 years old to compete unless accompanied by an adult. All waivers must be signed prior to launch. More to follow on waivers soon....

Don't know the first thing about rockfish. Crash coarse for a newb? Would love to come down!

If I make it up for ORC, you're welcome to join me for the day.  Will give you an on the water crash course in fishing the salt.  Taking newbies out at ORC has been a tradition I've enjoyed over the years.

I just signed up! The GS7 tourny really got me pumped. I can't wait to get back on the water for some healthy competition!

   Thanks Allen ;D ;D ;D

   Let the fun begin.
Life is short---live it tall.

Be kinder than necessary--- everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

Sailors may be struck down at any time, in calm or in storm, but the sea does not do it for hate or spite.
She has no wrath to vent. Nor does she have a hand in kindness to extend.
She is merely there, immense, powerful, and indifferent

I am down for sure I will have to figure out this invasive species permit for oregon. Will my SinK be okay on the bay?

I personally would not host someone in a SinK on the ocean unless they were highly proficient at it on the salt.  It doesn't sound to me like you are.  Consider borrowing a SOT from someone ... I'm sure you'd get plenty of offers of spare yaks.

I have been on the sound a handful of times in it but bay conditions can be a little different. I am sure I can find a SOT to borrow. I will just have to win that hobie I guess...

Yup.  This tourney is not on the bay, it is on the open ocean.  Swell, current, and wind are all stepped up a notch than on the Sound.  These conditions are something you work up to, not jump head first into ... in a SinK.

Oh I assumed bay based on the launch point... My kayak will never be an ocean vessel. I have a cockpit the size of a canoe one good wave and I will be sitting on the bottom. It's an awesome small get around kayak but I do need to move up to a SOT for the ocean.
