I will be coming down for the tourney - it was fun last year, despite the poor conditions, and I expect it to be every bit as fun this year. I am looking to share a ride with somebody- either my ride or yours;  I have a Ford Ranger pickup with a ladder rack that can accommodate my yak and one more. (Could pull a trailer if several want to go together.)

Damn Roy, last year was awesome and this year is sounding even better.  Why the hell did I agree to a family day with my in-laws that weekend?

Yea, That sucks. We were gonna have a cigar for you and everything...

Google maps put the trip at 453 miles each way for me :(

Bummer, that would a haul.

Will be getting a porta potty for Fri.- Sat. It's 65 bucks, will pass around the hat for donations...

I figure i have room for about  12 vehicles to park . Will cram more in if you come down and have no campsites available

Hey Paul, can we park a few cars at your house? (it's a short walk to my house from there)

See ya on the water..

Marie and I can't make this.  It's a 7 hour drive under ideal conditions, but we have mandatory overtime right now, which means I couldn't leave until Friday afternoon.  Sucks, because Sunset Bay area is freaking beautiful!

I'd bitch about mandatory overtime, but we have a job, which is better off than others.

That sucks. Hope you can make it down again sometime and we will actually get out on the Water and experience it for real!

Typical for this time of year. Can get on stand by and hope or try Bastendorff County Park Campground. It is first come first served so would probably have to get there on Thurs. or way early Fri. to have a chance at a spot.

How long do these warnings usually last?

A beach advisory for three coastal locations; Sunset Bay, Mill and Harris beaches has been issued today, July 24, 2013 by the Oregon Health Authority. The advisory is being issued due to elevated levels of the Enterococcus bacteria at all three beach locations. When water quality monitoring samples show Enteroccocci at 158 colony forming units (cfu) or greater per 100 ml, a beach advisory is issued. For more information go to: Current Beach Conditions
