Someone actually called me off of my flyer i put at Englund a few days ago and he also joined the NWKA. Cool dude with an even cooler name..Yes, It's Roy..

So, the two Roys went out today at Sunset. Started slow but picked up good, at least for Roy it did!!  ;D..The new Roy, that is.

I bumped my score over 200 for the AOTY with a 16 inch black and the other Roy caught two blacks and two Lings, one was at least 27 inches but it did a backflip with a full gainer off his yak after he unhooked it, Oops. One about 23 inches wasn't so lucky.

Per usual i started to feel seasick, but i did last 3 hours. There was a pretty good swell out there today. forgot to take my camera so no pics of royg's fish..

It's cool, startiing to get more people here to fish with!!

Way to go Roys, nicely done.

BTW, are you sure his name was Roy?  Maybe he's some sort of pyscho trying to steal your identity... kind of like the movie "Single White Female", but in this case maybe call it "Single White Kayak Angler".  You watch next time you see him he'll be dressed like you and sporting the same beard.

Oh, I didn't even think of about the whole, crazy guy talking to himself while kayak fishing angle.   Very convenient of you to forget the camera.  I wouldn't be too surprised when we finally see the video and it always seems that the camera is pointing a few feet away from Roy #2 and you never get a glimpse of him.  I'm guessing that we might hear him just fine, but he'll kind of sound like you trying to disguise your voice a bit.   :tongue3:

Did you remember to try and recruit Roy #2 to this site?

Roy,

For youtube, all you need is to copy the
"6KqMIEKL1sg" part of your videos link (i.e. the part after "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=") and paste it in your post.  Then highlight it and click on the "youtube" icon  .  You should end up with code like this..

Code: [Select]

At least that's the way you usually do it on forums like this.  However, Allen has added some mod so that you can dump the URL into the post and it should show up. All you need is the URL and paste it into the post like this.

Code: [Select]
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6KqMIEKL1sg
and you get

BTW, this should work with most of the major hosted video sites.

Alright. Now that AOTY scoreboard s starting to look respectable! Nice work CBY, sure looks like fun. Haven't been able to hit the open salt for quite a while. Looking forward to hitting up OR for rockfish!

That reminds me Roy, you need to try and get RoyG signed up for AOTY.

Roy,

How willing would you be to show the ropes to a kayak fisherman with no "Salt" experience.  Would love to get out on the ocean and try my hand at fishin the big pond, but am chicken, without some experience.  I would bet there's some others on this board that have more of 'trout' background and not 'cod' background that might be willing to make a weekend trip down to CoosBay for some mentoring.

Can pay in post-fishing beer around a campfire!

Not exactly sure where or when yet, but we're hoping to have an NWKA event on the Oregon Coast for some rockfish & lingcod.  It would be an excellent way to learn the ropes.

Otherwise, I'm planning on hitting the coast up here a couple times this summer.   I believe there are other PDX-crew thinking the same.

That said, a trip to Sunset Beach to join the Roys is still a pretty good option.
