Hei Guys, I own my crappy Pelican Castaway 100 Fishing Kayak for almost 2 years, which I used mainly in Elk lake (But also hit the salt water few times in harbour and current strong ten mile point--with PFO)

I caught carp/trout/bass and many bottom fish in ocean using that, but, would like to upgrade it to a more ocean fit-able kayak for Salmon trolling :)

Welcome victoria_rockfish. Nice to see another local angler on the site. I fish mainly on the salt so if you ever want to give it a try, let me know. Tomorrow I am going up to Jordan River to give halibut a shot first thing in the morning.

Hello T2, I noticed your name on few local forum, and know you have been fishing on my backyard for a while (I worked for RRU, so I might see your kayak in ocean few times :) )

I go salt based on weather, since my fishing kayak are built for peaceful water, and I once was pushed miles away near ten mile point with strong current and suddenly changed wind, so bit scared of going to open water)

But I have loads of ocean gear, would like to try drifting for hali or jigging for them, maybe we can hook up sometime for close shore advanture
