You should have pretty good conditions to get some good use out of the solar cell!  Sunny weather for the weekend!

BTW, the Solar panel also has regulated 5V USB output from it, so can charge USB devices directly from it too.  Most of the cameras have ~1000 mAh batteries that would recharge in 1-2 hours each.  There is also a 12V to car plug adapter.  You can also plug in the USB and 12V output at the same time, although it will slow down the charging on each devices as the 0-1A current would be split between them.

I've charged my VHF with the 12v adapter before.

For the price of all this gee-whiz gear you could pick up 3 or 4 9Ah blue bricks and be good for 6-10 days of fishing.

My price was $0.   ;)

But there is truth in what you say.  The solar panel can charge only one Sherpa 50 in 6-12 hours and that is only 5.2 Ah.

The size of the Sherpa battery and Nomad panel is roughly equivalent to 4 Anker 10 Ah unit.  Remember these are effectively 7Ah units.  So I can carry 28 Ah worth of power in the space of what would I could generate 5.2 Ah per day.  For trips up to 6 days, I'm probably better off carrying the Ankers.  Of course this is a comparison based on area and power.  I'll have to weigh the 2 solutions and compare that too.

I'm going to have to get me one of the blue bricks and do a comparison to that as well.  What are the dimensions on a 9Ah blue brick?

I have a power converter I keep in my truck into which I can plug my blue brick charger.  However, only useful if I have access to the truck.

Theoretically it would be possible to harness the pedal movement of a mirage drive to charge a battery.

Well, the types of trips I'm doing don't have access to a truck either.  No power except that which we bring or generate.

In theory you could also use the flowing water to run an electric motor in reverse to generate as well. I bet something like that would be really easy to come up with.
My wife thinks fishing is merely guys wandering around like idiots swinging sticks in the air. Many of my trips prove how smart she really is.

Allen,   the "claimed" 9800mAh blue bricks measure right at 4.5" x 2 3/8" x 1 5/8"

I used to think that Bigfoot might exist. Then I saw the reality shows where they are looking for them.  Now I am certain they don't
