Gotcha. Not sold on the Hobie pedal boats. Way too many incident reports of breakage. I break everything I touch. I know it would be an exercise in futility. I don't care how fast and hands free they are. Something that simply works all the time suits me best.

I've put more than 400 nm on my 2007 Adventure since buying it out of the backroom stock at Ballard Inflatables a few months ago. I checked for leaks around the drive well and can't find any. I get some water in thru the hatches about 1 cup per day in rough conditions, usually none when it's flat calm. I like the boat for a lot of situations, but I'll always want a variety of kayaks.

The best formula for figuring out how many kayaks you need is:  X = N + 1
where X = kayaks you need and N = kayaks you have

The same formula applies to fishing rods, lures, guns, etc.

Tell that to your "X = N - 1" woman.

You mean the woman that bought me a kayak when I spent my kayak money on a diamond ring?

Nope.  You got yourself special one my friend.  I'm talking woman in the more general sense.

Guns somehow seem to propagate in the safe without any explanation. LOL

Once in the safe the number doesn't matter. The key is getting it into the safe undetected.

Did you have to pay anything out of pocket?

Yes, since it is a second hand boat I wouldn't expect full replacement.

Man, that sucks. Was it the same type of leak that the Outbacks are experiencing next to the drive?

Mine was in the nose of the drive well where the drive touches the hull. Crack turned into a hole.
