Sturgeon in the Columbia

Craig - I believe it is open until the end of the month.  At least that is what I remember the regs saying for where I was fishing.

Ling - it is true.  2014 is all catch and release.

What a huge bummer. I guess the only thing left to do now is sign up for ORC. I was making plans for a sturgeon trip because I don't have time for both. With sturgeon out of the question I can focus my attention on the tourney! This is sad/exciting.

Doesn't mean you can't catch them... just can't keep them.  July is supposed to be really good... at least it was a couple years ago when they extended it into July.

I want to eat them though. Catching is fun and all but I like to eat fish. I was looking forward to cleaning one of those ancient beasts.

I just checked ODFW and it says that it will be open for the few days in July.
