New from Rust-Oleum. So many practical applications, especially for the kayak fisherman. No more dirty waders, no water damage on handling phones with wet hands, and turning standard gear into rain gear??
Shut up and take my money.

Not to be that Glass Half Empty guy but consider the ramifications ....
Wet T-Shirt Competitions may never be the same again
I used to think that Bigfoot might exist. Then I saw the reality shows where they are looking for them.  Now I am certain they don't

I'll take a gross...I wonder how it works with saltwater and things like your reel.

Hmmm....... my mind is turning but hasn't settled on an application yet.  Well there goes my chance at a productive day.

Lol. Yah yah!!! Those are great applications. But I guess I was thinking more than just water proofing agent.  Does this effect increase or decrease friction of an object against water. Will my downrigger ball cut through water with any less resistance? On the bottom of the kayak, does it make it like a mag-lev train?

Would the water being repelled create a different effect in the water if sprayed on a lure?

I guess I should have clarified. I have a million uses for a good water proofing!!! But this stuff the way it seems to repel the water seems to be a step above.  I'm wondering if there isn't some uber cool application we haven't thought of!! Lol.

If its true that it would help kayaks glide though the water better, it looks to me like the Outback just became the perfect kayak. Speed, stability, and storage. :P

I was thinking about the underside of my trailer, the axle, and the leaf springs.  Make that salt water drip right off. If it is a clear coat, why not spray an entire vehicle (Wind shield???).  Muddy water won't stick anymore.  :)  I wonder what UV light does to it...or did I miss something about that?

I wonder:
is it breathable?
what's the longevity / durability?
if you lived in a place that snowed a lot and you coated your driveway...
would it make a Slip-n-Slide faster or slower...
My wife thinks fishing is merely guys wandering around like idiots swinging sticks in the air. Many of my trips prove how smart she really is.

Slight thread jack: for a slip-n-slide, use some baby oil

I was wondering about the car windshield as well. Does this wear off like rainx? Does is spot or stain like the water proof spray for shoes that has been out for years already? Is it too good to be true?
All fishermen are liars except you and me
(and sometimes I wonder about you).
