I'm still trying to decide how I want to proceed for Friday.
I'm going to be fishing the willamette sturgeon opener on Thursday, packing my car for ORC Thursday night, then waking up early to head for the coast on Friday.
My dilemma is, should I set up camp then go fish, or go fish early morning (right when I get there) then setup camp.
I'm leaning towards the latter.
Go fish first. As the winds kick up the conditions will get more crappy. The forecast looks pretty borderline for Friday, Thursday and Saturday look like much nicer days. You may only have an early morning window.

Why did you even need to ask the question?  :)

No problem buddy, what time do you figure you will hit the ramp? I should be out there too.

I'm planning on being there bright and early. I was thinking hitting the ramp by 7:00 am, but I can be there earlier if needed. What time are you hitting the ramp?

PP - it was more as a way to gauge if more people are prefishing morning or afternoon.  ;D

I'll be in Depoe Bay Thurs evening - looking to meet up with folks pre-fishing Fri morning.  I can do 7:00am or earlier.  I've mentioned before, this will be my first time out - though I'm now set for gear.  Looking to head out and fish with those having salt and Depoe Bay fishing experience.

Thanks,
Sam

I'll be there by Thursday at noon. I'll be in the gray Honda Ridgeline with the gray Hobie Revo on top. Hoping to get out Thur. afternoon if the wind's not blowing too much. Anyone crabbing? I have three traps and am considering leaving them out overnight and picking them up Friday early p.m.

True

I should beat you by an hour or two to the campground.  I'll be crabbing too.  Looks like the mouth of the Siletz is supposed to be decent.

I think I will be there early thursday AM, but I'm not 100% sure yet. I should see you at camp Thursday evening or at the ramp on Friday. I'll be on channel 69 if I happen to miss you at the ramp.

The level of my stoke is super high. I look forward to putting faces to the names. I'm surprised at how fast time has flown by. It's already almost here! I've done a lot of map reading, check listing, video watching, gear shopping and day dreaming...I almost can't contain myself.
I'll be the half Filipino guy in the dirty brown blazer and blue Outback. I will probably have music blaring out of my crappy stereo as to announce my presence.
