Don't forget, if you don't see your name in RED by Friday Aug 16, you will need to turn in the waiver and registration to me at Jack Block Park before you launch on tournament day.

To avoid the rush at the launch, get them mailed in ASAP.

Hope you can make it Demonick,  Based from your Avitar Photo,  I am going to bring and offer you the best my humidor has to offer.....   to celebrate my getting the winning fish of course   ;D

Thank you!  What sort of vitola is your favorite, e.g., corona, panatela, robusto, petite corona, etc.  Or your preferred ring size and length?

Please don't laugh,  since it sounds like you do you know your cigars.
Many of my business associates / friends are big cigar aficionado's.  My company has 2 of the private humidors at Smokey Joe's at BJ's in Fife.  Never been a smoker my whole life, but did find that I liked .... again don't laugh ... Drew Estates ACID line of infused flavored cigars.   I know that is like hanging with hardcore scotch drinkers and ordering a ZIMA.
Thing is that my friends are always giving me single to entire boxes of cigars thinking they will get me hooked on their favorite.   So for that reason I have a large humidor filled with a variety of just "you have to try these" gifts.
I was educated long ago to not store my flavored cigars in the same humidor as the traditional.
I used to think that Bigfoot might exist. Then I saw the reality shows where they are looking for them.  Now I am certain they don't

Awesome.  Been to Smokey Joe's a bunch of times.  I think the PNW Herfers still meet there.

Me neither.  You are only a smoker if you inhale.  You could smoke a couple cigars a day and if you don't inhale you're not a smoker.

OMG!   :o    Say it ain't so.  I have one some one gave me about 10 years ago.  It's yours if I remember to bring it.  You just have to promise not to smoke it in my presence :)

Where in Jack Block park is the check in/measure station going to be?  In the park area near the parking, or on the pavilion near where the kayak launch is at?

If you only have one ACID,  I would hate to see you give it away .... you never know when you might be in dire need of some incense which many think they must taste like from the smell.

Dino,

We launched from Jack Block Park this morning to find out what to expect next weekend.  The only marked legal parking we could find was as tagged as such in the photo earlier in this thread.  Pretty good little jaunt from the launch area.
Only saw "Authorized Parking Only" along the fences near the launch area with no paint or indication of parking spots.    Just wanted to confirm the area earlier mentioned regarding parking along fences.

Thanks

How was it out there?

It was extremely slow around Dash Point AFAIK I took off around 3pm  :-\ Only saw a couple pinks landed out of dozens of power boats. Didn't see anyone land any in kayaks either.

It'll be near the water by the concrete slab. We'll have a canopy or 2 set up.

We'll be able to park along the fence. Everyone just needs to be mindful when parking and maximize the spaces.

Saw nothing breaking the surface at all,  other that some excited schools of bait fish just off the launch on the way back in.  Saw maybe 5 boats on the water fishing and not another single kayak other than our group.   We managed a couple of overly eager little guys not much larger than the lures we were trolling.  Hoping to see them again after they have put on a few lbs.

micahgee,  can I get an official ruling of what this guy is, or will be when he grows up ?   ;D  Sorry about the poor photo / capture from video taken.

We hit Commencement Bay to Dash Point on Thursday afternoon and only managed one small pink, again seeing nothing on the surface and few boat or bank anglers having great success.

I'm not great at salmon ID, especially compared to some folks here. That being said it would have been nice to see the tail, do you remember if there were oval-shaped spots?

There are a couple points where you get a better look in the video clip.  Sorry about the soundtrack, but it is a whole lot better than my original recorded comments
