Seacrest looks like a nice launch for kayaks.  Anyone have info on that?  City website doesn't say anything about fees or anything, just that it is a "boat launch (hand carry)" and something about divers, so I'll fish for octopus on my way to the pinks.

No fees. You can launch either side of Seacrest park. Although, the north might be a tad easier. That's where Alki Kayak Tours launch. The south is mostly divers. Don't park in the lot since it's 2hr limit, and the city frequently enforce the area. Fresh water rinse is available.

FYI Alki Kayak Tours and Mountain To Sound Outfitters are Sponsors.

Is the parking at Jack Block also 2 hours max or can you park there all day?

Can fish be gutted prior to weigh measure in?  Pinks aren't known for their keeping quality unless you bleed, gut, and put on ice right out of the water.

Life is short---live it tall.

Be kinder than necessary--- everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

Sailors may be struck down at any time, in calm or in storm, but the sea does not do it for hate or spite.
She has no wrath to vent. Nor does she have a hand in kindness to extend.
She is merely there, immense, powerful, and indifferent

My opinion is to allow fish to gutted but they must either be princess dressed or left gill in for an accurate measurement.

We will be able park along the fences much closer to the load unload area at Jack Block. No limit on parking time.

Sorry about that Mark my brain was running on 2 hr parking.

Kykfshr is correct. Parking at Jack Block is Free and All day. Parking along the fence will be allowed.

This is a "longest fish" tourney so gutting / bleeding shouldn't effect the outcome.  At least I wouldn't think so.

If you cut the piece of skin connecting the front of the collar with the rear of the jaw the head of the salmon will be able to pivot on the spine and swing up away from the belly. This will result in a longer overall fish.
