Hey Everyone !!!!

I'm recently got a great deal on a full sized truck so I'm selling my 2001 ford ranger.. It has the 4.0 V6, 4x4, 5-speed, Power steering, tow package, A/C, CD, 3" body lift and slightly over sized tires with 50-60% tread left. It has 172,000 EASY miles since I drive a company truck during the week it has only been my weekend driver. I'm asking $5,800 but am more than willing to negotiate that. Please feel free to PM me or better yet text/phone call @ 503-869-0289

Thanks
Brian

I would also like to mention that I just replaced ALL of the brakes last winter and put a new clutch in it last spring... I also have the tow hitch extender for loading kayaks in the bed , it works really really well and I'll gladly throw that in for free !!!!

I had an '01 up until '08, but it was a regular can, 2-wheel drive 4- banger.  Loved it.  Would still have it if we hadn't had kids.  I can attest to the ability of that year Ranger's ability to aurvive a 5-10 mph impact with a 5x5 bull elk with minimal, barely noticable damage.

Does this year Ranger feature the 'keyless entry' that these trucks are known for? I used one of these when I worked for Comcast and used to lock my keys in it all the time. No worries with these things though.

SumpNZ - thank you for the input , as this is a very stout truck!!...

Ling ling- no this particular truck does not have keyless entry, which I've always found odd that it is the "XLT " model but does not have power locks or window's... I think it was originally special ordered by someone that way, less things to break I suppose

Aaaahhh memories. I miss my 01 Ranger XLT. I tried so many times to kill that thing but it just wouldn't die. There were many good times exploring new trails with the beefier tires. Great truck, and a great deal.

I like Ford Rangers.  What kind of fuel mileage do you get on freeway?  around 20ish?

Mine had the 2.4l 4-cylinder, but if I kept my foot out of it I could average 30mpg over a couple tanks easily.  That was probably 70/30 hwy/city.

I had a Ranger for 13 years before buying my current pickup. Lots of fond memories dragging my old kayak around in that truck.

I have a 2011 2WD 4.0L automatic and I get 21 hwy and 14 around town. I wish Ford hadn't dropped the Ranger.

Younggun is a good resource on all things Ford - I know one of the reasons I bought my Ranger is because he told me about the only Ranger service he does is tires, brakes, and oil changes. They made so few changes on that model line that they got it pretty reliable.

The "keyless entry" Ling Ling referred too has nothing to do with remote locks or anything like that. The Rangers are awesome trucks, best compact truck ever made.

As Sherminator said, I am very familiar with Fords and I will attest to their durability, and ease of maintenance.

Does this truck have the rear access doors? Also, if you cycle the key 8 times do the door locks cycle? If they do you can get a key fob enable power door locks. Send me a pm and I can walk you through it.

Yes it does have the rear access doors... I've had the truck for 6 years now and have never heard of this !!!... I'll be sure to check that out when I get home
