Sunday should be fine for me.

That works out fine for me.  I need to use the prize I won last year and it was only good Mon-Thursday.  So looks like a guided trip Monday morning.    The wife was not as excited about me leaving Wednesday through Sunday.  A two day trip is much more likely to happen.  I will pay today once I get the final approval.

Thanks craig.  :/ I'm bummed, but it's not all about me.   Hoping you guys have an amazing event.  Perhaps I will swing down for the afternoon and see who wins.

Of note - it is still calling for 10+mph winds with gusts far higher than that... What is the stipulations in which a complete reschedule (different weekend) comes into play?  (if at all)

Hopefully we know soon about the plans.  I have to switch my overtime schedule around and if it's too close to the weekend that won't fly.

Here is my official decision.  The SlayRide derby will take place on Sunday September 29th and the SlayRide derby will also be rescheduled for a later date.

Here is how it will work.  The event on the 29th is now free for those who can make it.  The prizes will be scaled down.  There will still be some really good prizes! I will still need a release from every participant.

SlayRide 2 will take place at a later date on a Saturday.  The Grand Prize (Old Town Predator) will be given away at this event.  The entry fee will be $40.  If you have already paid for the SlayRide derby, you have the option of crediting you fee towards Slayride 2 or a refund.

The SlayRide derby this weekend is a HOW fundraiser so your donations to the HOW jar are appreciated.

Thanks for all of the work organizing, Scott.  Any idea when slayride 2 would happen?  And if there is inclement weather on either day that makes the harbor unfishable would the fishing just move up the Chehalis?

Too bad it couldn't be competing for the same prizes both days with need not be present to win, but I imagine that getting the prizes out would be a bit of a pain in the ass.  In any case, I'm still making every effort to be there this weekend if the weather is decent.

I changed the weigh-in time to 3:00PM. for those from out of town that need to leave early.  Weigh-in is at the same location as last year, at the Gazebo which is by the giant salmon sculpture in Westport.  Prizes will be given out after weigh-in closes in front of the salmon sculpture.
