I prefer the pink jig and similar pictured below. Mine were 1/8 oz. They also hit on purple, blue and white (I was experimenting) but pink was best. Rory had the launch location and southern direction right. Shouldn't have to go far.
Do you add buzzbomb to the jig? Or use the jig only?

Buzzbomb or jig, not both.  Good luck!

Mukilteo was still red hot this am. I fished from 7-10,  landed 14, and lost 4 more at the boat. Used a 2" buzz bomb with a 2" hoochie.

All these pink salmon reports are making me super jealous. It sounds like so much fun. If only we had a pink run where I live...

The area south of Mukilteo is called "Humpy Hollow" for good reason.

We did well off Bush Point. We usually paddled a ways north from the boat launch, encountered a group of jumpers before long, hooked up quickly, then drifted back towards the point as we landed/bled/stored fish. Then paddled against the current away from the point, repeat...

The current made it a bit of a challenge, but there were only a few boats around - almost none as we paddled north. Overall, I think it was probably a better experience for my dad then paddling into the flotilla we saw off Mukilteo that morning.

How is it fishing among all those boats? Not bad when the catching is good?

Thanks for all the help and advice.

There were definitely a ton of boats out there, but I was never within 150 yards of one. They were far enough away that I never noticed any of them catching anything(of course I was busy!) I stayed about 150-300 yards from shore where I saw most of the jumpers, and none of the PB's ever came that close in. I'm not entirely sure why, but I will take it! They were pretty much all trolling and probably wanted to stay in deeper water I guess.  Personally I just don't understand the appeal of catching a pinks on all that heavy trolling gear when they are so easy to catch on light tackle by casting lures...
