Finally got around to putting this video together so it isn't exactly timely.
It was an awkward day for me out in the Columbia River Estuary.  Aside from having the long-leader blues, I didn't have the net ready for the first fish, which happened to be a stinky tule(TOO-lee) so I didn't mind losing it, and I almost lost the second fish because of a crappy net job.  Good thing Scott was there to help me out!
Tight lines!

Damn! Not available on mobile. I'll watch it later! I feel your pain with the long leader issues. I'd be tempted to grab a hold of the leader and yard the fish in by hand...but I don't trust 25# mono  :D

That was fun to watch.  I found myself leaning back in my chair trying to help out.  :)

Great vid.  Great save!  I still catch myself with too long a leader after even a few years later.

Great vid!
Love that "kid in a toy store" grin the whole time.

That video turned out great.  I liked the beginning footage of us Hanging out on Desdemona Sands waiting for the outgoing to tide to slow down.

Beautiful Vid Jeff!  I can't believe you managed to get that bad boy in your yak.
Scott, you're a good friend!

Fun vid! Love it. Thanks for the effort putting it together and looks like some fun action. As far as the netting job, well, if the fish ends up in the kayak you must have done something right!  :banjo:

Thanks for watching!

Yeah, the video doesn't run on mobile devices because of the music, sorry.

Watching the video over and over while editing it I feel like I could have just reached out and pushed it into the net with my hand after dropping the rod or using my foot to get it in the net since it was essentially belly up at that point but you never know when those things will get a sudden burst of energy and freak out.

Sweet video! I just got on the computer to check it out. You were lucky to have someone there for the assist! And now the solo in that song is stuck in my head  :banjo:

It was the song I listened to just before I hit the water that day so I felt it was appropriate.  ;D
