I'm planning on hitting the incoming tide tomorrow at 2:00 on the lower sno and I was wondering if anyone has heard any reports or been out in the last couple days...

Also, it will be my first time drifting the snohomish and was curious if anyone had any tips or advice for an upstream/incoming tide drift.

Thanks!

There are a lot of fish being caught right now. It shouldn't be too hard to get into fish.

Caught my first salmon there today. My wife asked me - What time will I go fishing on Sunday. :)

There is a lot of fish. I wish I had a drift anchor so I could drift the river.

Congrats on your first salmon coldfusion! Yeah my wife always helps me find more time for fishing when I have something to show for the effort!

Ahh the snoho. I love fishing that river. I put together a post a couple years ago that has some info. http://www.northwestkayakanglers.com/index.php?topic=6927.msg71884#msg71884

I'll definitely be hitting that up when the coho start rollin in.

The topic or board you are looking for appears to be either missing or off limits to you.

I know I don't post much but I am always looking for more info on fishing in my backyard and tips for a newbie. I've been mildly successful this first year of fishing from the yak. I plan on fishing the Snohomish more this year but never fished a river on the yak.

Thank you! :) I got a new Shimano Symetre 3000 reel today.

Got 2, lost 6. I have to learn to be patient... :(

I went out with a buddy in my tandem from 3:00-7:30. Lots of jumpers everywhere, and very few biters (At least compared to my day at Mukilteo last week). The ones we caught were all on pink jigs.
The crazy thing is that my buddy managed to break his rod in half shortly after landing his first fish! We had to get our limits by taking turns with my rod. It was hard fought but we managed to fill out our cards that way.
It was a much longer paddle than I anticipated though. We put in at the 10th street launch in everett

...and I had hoped the tide would carry us all the way to the Lowell boat launch 8-9 miles upstream, but there wasn't as much current as I had hoped. The current probably got us halfway, and we had to take care of the rest. It was still a blast though, and really fun to try a something new!

Wow, that's a haul! Where did you launch?  Must have been a nice trip.

Outgoing much stronger than the incoming. You could try doing the trip in reverse. Though the fishing isn't as good on the outgoing. IMHO

I Launched at Lowell Riverfront and Rotary Park launch at approx 9am on Saturday and ended up at Langus Riverfront Park launch in about 3 hours on the out going tide. Very little if any rowing involved. Did the return trip leaving Langus at 4pm and ending up at Lowell around 7:30. No fish on the out going, 3 fishing on the incomeing

We launched at the 10th street boat launch in Everett. It was probably close to a mile to the mouth, and 7-8 up to Lowell. With a good tide its really not all that bad. we just spent too much time drifting and had to book it once it got late. Honestly I think it might work really well for trolling an incoming tide for silvers the way you mentioned in the thread you linked to above. That way you could get in a few good hours trolling with the incoming tide without backtracking or waiting for a less productive outgoing to return.  You just need someone to help drive back to the starting point...
