Good Catch !

I think about the worst netting conditions is when trying to do so solo from a kayak.  If the fish doesn't get away,  I call it a success

I have banked it on the rivers a couple times lately.  Was great to hear an angler with a fish on, debating his friend with the net, just how to net a fish.  Angler instructing to scoop from head back to tail while his netter was insisting "that is stupid,  fish have eyes and can see the net coming that way"   :-\
I used to think that Bigfoot might exist. Then I saw the reality shows where they are looking for them.  Now I am certain they don't

Gotta agree with ketapatterns---you won the battle and got to reap the rewards. Well done Roy.
Life is short---live it tall.

Be kinder than necessary--- everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

Sailors may be struck down at any time, in calm or in storm, but the sea does not do it for hate or spite.
She has no wrath to vent. Nor does she have a hand in kindness to extend.
She is merely there, immense, powerful, and indifferent

Lol.  Love it!  But I agree, the ends justify the means.

Not sure what pound leader you are using, but for most king applications, we use 40lbs flouro minimum.  We even jump up to 100 test from PB in glacial rivers when bottom bouncing or backtrolling (i.e. when the bait is typically encountered by the fish before the line).

Another quick question Roy, any particular reason you use the chartreuse Fish Flash?  The reason I ask is I have every color out there, but it seems like I only ever really catch fish on the Chartreuse flasher.  Lately my black and white fish flash has worked but at the time I think a bare hook would have worked.  So I guess what I am asking is it deliberate choice on your part cuz you know or think its better or is it just the color you have been rigging lately since I saw the same flasher on your last video?

I usually use the chartreuse for chinook and will switch it up to a red one for coho. Wish i could say i use very scientific methods for determining this but i just use what most guys use here... You know what they say for Chinook..Use any color as long as it's green..
