Another advantage of kayak fishing

Couldnt get any coho interested today,but I kept noticing shiny stuff along the edges of the river.When it was apparent that they were going to be tight lipped today, I decided to at least go home with something. These were in the brush piles and logjams...not easy to get , but a fun project and better than going home to rake leaves ..decided not to push my luck for the many corkies that were
 there . Hey, finally found a use for the paddle!

I'm sure there are better stories of finding stuff out there?

Heh heh - nice! I do the same thing walking down at the river after the water drops a few feet for the first time in a week or so.

Seems to even out for me, though... I just lost an $8 Rapala last night

My wife and her friend swapped kayaks so my wife could try a SINK last summer. We husbands were up around the bend trout fishing in some tide water. She was trying very hard to get me a blue fox off a log and ended up inadvertently having to perform self rescue when she leaned over too far. She never did reach the lure. She prefers the SOT now, I think.

That is by far the best beer bottle story I have ever heard
