I keep getting days off. So why not fish, reiter steelhead is really down in the dumps, nothing getting caught, one Fish  for 30 guys sucks. So I'll try new flounder spot. Today I'm going to paddle across to Columbia beach or Randall point. Hope to hook up substantially today. We were over there one winter and we got bored and fished flatfish. I ended up battling a beast skate for about 10 minutes . Easy 60 lb. That was fun. Maybe i can get a free ride back to mukilteo

That's exciting. I live at the other side of the state. I visit my brother at Mukilteo few times a year. I have never been on the salt. Hope I could join you next year.

A small buzz bomb dipped in herring smelly jelly. You can catch them all day long.

I've had good luck with a wedding ring and worm.  I increase the hook size to target the bigger ones. I haven't used buss bomb for them before,  is there a particular color that works well?

Average size 12 16 inches. Occasional rock sole. 18 20 inchers. Small jigs work awesome. Even just worm on hook. Bass worms are really effective . Flounder are stupid and aggressive, so i think it boils down to are you in a spot that holdshold the fish. All you have to do is find the right bottom structure. They will hit just about anything that you drop in front of them. Just my personal experienceseems like the pebbles and Sand always have the best fish your grass as well. I have caught under smaller than the jig I was using.

I've never fished it but I've heard Sand Lake near Pacific City has Flounder.

I had green and white, green/yellow/sparkle and they did well. I am not sure if they did well because of the color because that is what I had.  I don't think I ever used one that didn't work well.  So hard saying.

For the guys in PS. off of the South Side of Fox Island by Big Rock in 25- 30 feet, is a great place for rock sole.  I took the kids there a lot in the spring just for fun.  Not sure I would want to eat anything from the bottom of Puget Sound (can you say Asarco boys and girls?) but they are fun to catch.
